Re: unipaas 1.9 with file dsn

Thanks, Andy.

Magic Support says File DSN is not supported, and that matches my experience and what others have told me.

The ODBC gateway connects to 32-bit ODBC. Any connection you create should be available to the gateway. I doubt it's even possible for the gateway to determine whether it's a file or system DSN.

Thanks, Steve.

I am connecting to IBM i DB2. We have it working with a System DSN, but I prefer to use a file DSN.

Hi Mike,

Are you, as in the earlier post, also wanting to connect to an MS Access DB?

'Cause if you're wanting to connect to a PSQL database, you don't need a local DSN at all, System, User, File, whatever.

Else, I should think that it wouldn't matter to uniPaaS or XPA what TYPE of DSN is was, although it may indeed matter WHERE a file DSN is stored.
