Bullshit....

It's NEVER done by 3'rd party installations. It's ALWAYS done by an installation which causes the problem.

Just plain common sense mister Sedlemeier!

No, there isn't. Difference between uniPaaS and (very) old Magic versions like v5 and before (I think) is that Magic does no longer spawn a shell (like cmd.exe) before it executes a command line. Result: internal "DOS" commands which are actually implemented by the shell won't work any longer when used in "Exit" operation (InvokeOS). You have to start them with exit to "cmd /c dir". SUBST however is no internal command but external so basically it should work.

How exactly do you start your command line and what is the (complete) command ?

You should also check the return code of the InvokeOS and (for testing purposes) spwan a command shell with InvokeOS 'cmd /c' to be able to check what the value of the PATH environment variable is. Sometimes its corrupted by 3'rd party installations.

there is a syntax change, modest but there is!
put an echo first and it works.

same exact command lines...

no what about that?

dozens of times and even used copy and paste.

it is in UNI 1.9 later releases as 'p'.

Did not have earlier release on line to try.

independent command line works perfectly as we have used it for at least 15 years
and in many installations.

I am stymied.

thanks and hope there is a solution but in my nearly 25 years with magic, I think
that there is likely an interface issue of some type.

Re: executing a dos command from UNI 1.9

Because XPA is running in an Elevated process, you can only check in an 'Elevated' process is the SUBST did work.

Run a command prompt with elevation (i do mean 'run as administrator'), type SUBST, and you can see it worked.

If it still does noet work , for you, than please give us the complete expression you are using, because shooting at something which is not clear is very hard....

Have you opened a command line window and pasted the string you want executed and run it to check for errors?

has the same spaces that would be used when typing the command line entry.

Hi Govert,

It actually worked. What's odd is it was working that way on uniPaaS 1.9h.

without changing it to a normal field rather than a hyperlink

Thank you!

Darren

Does the command line you're executing have any spaces in?  If so, be sure to enclose in "  ".

Any ideas? Seems new issue...windows 10?

Hi Darren,

I think it has to do with the fact that you made the column into a hyperlink button.
Maybe you should replace this with an edit control and use a click event to catch the hyperlink behaviour.
You can simulate the underline with a font.

Hi Guys!

I can locate all except 1 column. Please see my attachment for more details.

It's in a form of direct SQL.

Zebra set-up overruling HP Deskjet [XPA3.2c][Citrix]

Florian Groothuis

Our client has several Zebra printers which all work fine, but one. They purchased a new Zebra printer which prints stickers about half the width of A4. When a user prints a sticker the next print on a regular HP Deskjet is half the width it should be. Looks like the papersettings of the Zebra is transferred to the HP. A second print to the HP is fine. On both IO's papersize is set to "Default". I tried setting the papersize to "A4" on the HP, but that didn't solve the issue.
When I do the same from any other Windows application, i.e. first print to the Zebra, then to the HP, it all works as it should.

What is happening here? And more important: how can I prevent it or solve it?

TIA
Florian

Re: uniPaaS - Skipping Rows with Condition

Hi Wes,

I actually wanted to show all records. The actual table records are different from the one I showed in the example.

Thx

Allow Park property does not stop the cursor light to go there. It only disable the parking spot on the fields.

Thx

In the old days, I'd put something like

If (skip, kbput 'down'kbd",'True'L) in the Cnd column as needed.  The Kbput always returns true.

That should work - unless the bottommost line is to be skipped, in which case it will lock,

so you need to add a link to the last line of the table and make the expression something like

If (skip and not LastLine, ....)

Hi Group,

Can we skip some rows with condition in below online screen? I mean if my cursor is on #6 it will directly move to 9 or 10 and bypass the cursor light on 7 and 8.

Thanks

Thanks Steve,
yes it work this way but need to control the down arrow/up arrow keys along with the the condition in order to jump to the next row or previous row. And if the first row in your table is the row where you need to jump to next, it stays there because it is waiting for the down arrow key.

Lado,

One way would be to raise a Next Row event in the Record Prefix when you don't want to park on a specific record.
