Re: Warning : big bug on delete status in XPA 4.6 #xpa4.6
Both (By parameters and variables from the dataview). Same results...
I just tried with Btrieve / Pervasive.

Re: Warning : big bug on delete status in XPA 4.6 #xpa4.6
Didn't get a chance to test this out till this morning, but it seems like that I cannot duplicate this bug with 4.6.1 with MSSQL. So maybe this only applies to Btrieve, or they fixed it in 4.6.1

Thanks, Govert. It is not automatic, but it would work.

Re: Modified timestamp
Arch,
Another option is to use the public name of the program and include a version number that you increment after every change.
You can get the public name of the program with the function

Re: Modified timestamp
That would document changes to any program in the application, not a specific program. I'm seeking a finer resolution of modifications if possible.

Re: Modified timestamp
Arch,
I have an expression in all my programs with the last modification Date\Time. It is not automatic, it requires manual update, but it is very precise.

Re: Modified timestamp
Thanks, Wes. That's a good thought, but not very precise. The program used is likely not to be the one last modified.

Govert,
It appears that the only way to prevent the error being written to the General Error Log will be to change the '#6U' picture to a generic 'U6'. I'm already validating

Keith,
Good guess, but no cigar. There are no sly events, editgets, or kbputs.
Try it yourself. In an online task:
Create an Alpha variable and give it an all numeric picture,

Re: Confusing difference between v9.4, UP1.9, and XPA4.6
Ok, after Sherm asked that I thought I better check, and sure enough, the INI for RunTime did not have Allow Modify in Query set to Yes, but the Development did.
So, it is pilot error after all.
