You might also need to look in the 32bit ODBC adminstrator C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe or in the PSQL Control center if you're looking for the tables' physical location.

You can use the DbName() function for this. For example DbName('1'DSOURCE,1) will return the name of the first data source, DbName('1'DSOURCE,3) will return the Database name of the first data

The user that starts the broker service must have rights withing MSSQL if it just starting as local service this will be your issue.

If its about Java 8 the only advise I can give (that you will know however anyway) is: You need to sign a contract with Oracle. If there's security patches and other updates you can no longer download

However what you say is true, I just put the license file on a share of a file server and it booted

What kind of license do you have? When it's just pointing to a file, it doensn't matter when you put this file. Ik can be on a local drive or a netork drive.

Im just not sure if that works with 8.3 too because only in v9 all String fuctions can deal with Blobs too. Besides you may run in trouble
