Magic V7/V8 Btrieve Performance

To Michael & Geoff

I have viewed the Btrieve Monitor from time to time and have always thought
that the number of records being read were a lot (significantly) higher
than what they should be.

Good on you Micheal for following this up. I will follow progress with
interest.

Robert

Robert,

I solved my problem by using a suggestion from Geoff. I turned off the
gateway's use of extended operations and now everything seems to be running
fine. It was reassuring to see the standard Get Next operations in the
gateway log file.

I've been programming in Magic for over 10 years (since version 2.36).
Little that Magic does surprises me anymore.

Mike

Michael,

The suggestion came from Robert, not me.

A simple mistake, but credit should be given were it is due to.
