Where did the MagicDate go on logon?
That's what I did eventually.
Thnx Govert. |

They still used it for backdating for some processes. Rare, but not gone.

Florian,
Even though the Magic Date is gone from the login screen, it is still available in the MAGIC.INI and MDate() function. You can create your own little start-up program asking for this date and use IniPut to save it.

So I noticed. Since XPA2.5 I found out yesterday. Kind of sux, my client needs it.

Hi Florian,
As an alternative to INIPUT you can use SharedValSet / SharedValGet instead. We use it a lot for tempory values. Kind regards, André |

We use it in unPaaS. In cash receipting they often reconcile their cash drawers late in the day, then any new ones after that they date to the next day so they exit and log in changing the date.
Since XPA does not support the mdate in the login (although I see there is a function to set/get it) I have been working at not using it in my current application. You might 'store' a data you application wants to remember using iniput. Wes |

That's rare. How was your client using it?

I am converting a client from uniPaaS to XPA and it looks like the logon option to enter the Magic date has disappeared... Where is it?
